Rifle High School senior James Martinez battled his way to the 140-pound title at the Tournament of Champions wrestling tournament in Vernal, Utah Saturday. Martinez went 5-0 in the tournament and capped his title run with a championship match victory over three-time Utah state champion Bryson Foy, of Altamont, Utah. Other Rifle placers in the 30-team tournament were Devon Godeski at 112 and Nick Melon at heavyweight with sixth-place finishes, and Larry Schmeuser with a seventh-place finish at 130 pounds
