Lions Club food drive a success
A big thank-you to all who contributed to the Rifle Lions Club Food Drive for LIFT-UP. We had good support from the community, and the food pantry shelves are full of much-needed food. Thank you to those who contributed money. Those funds will help purchase additional food. Thanks to Mike Powell, LIFT-UP director, and his wife, Geneva, for stopping by with their contribution and visiting with us.
Thank you to Jean's Printing for printing our flyer, City Market for distributing our ad to their customers, Channel 10, The Citizen Telegram, the Post Independent for their wonderful article about our event and to all of the businesses who helped us advertise by posting a flyer in their window. Thanks also to Re-2 for letting us use the parking lot at Rifle Middle School. When a community comes together, good things happen.
Sincerely,
Rifle Lions Club
Prayers, support appreciated
The family of Bernard “Bud” Collett would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, love, support and for all acts of kindness extended to us during Bud's long illness and recent death.Thank you for the donations to YouthZone, which will be his living legacy. The food, flowers and beautiful cards, as well as the support of New Creation Church staff and support teams have been a great source of comfort and so much appreciated. Medical care Bud received at the Rifle, Glenwood Springs, UC/Denver, Kindred Hospital and clinics during his lengthy illness was of great comfort and support to us. Words do not adequately express our gratitude, but we do thank everyone for the love and support.
