County Relay For Life events ranked nationally
RIFLE — The American Cancer Society Relay For Life events in Garfield County topped the national per capita income rankings for 2009. Relay For Life of Rifle and Relay For Life of the Roaring Fork Valley had a combined net income of $240,671.

Elks scholarship BBQ

The Rifle Elks Club will host a barbecue fundraiser before the Rifle High School homecoming football game this Friday, Oct. 2, from 4-6:30 p.m.

All proceeds will go to a scholarship fund that will benefit local students.
